Need to get away

Man, I’m tired. Been working pretty hard recently and there’s plenty more to come. I could use a vacation.

Only plans I have now is possibly Vegas in June and an east coast baseball park tour in July. But that’s really just one weekend in Vegas and one week on the east coast. I need something meatier!

But I have no idea where I would go. I’m leaning toward Japan or Taiwan again, but maybe I should try something new. Europe doesn’t appeal to me for some reason. Maybe I could convince friends that Alaska is worth a visit…

Feeling good student style

Best thing for me this week? Hearing the teacher say that the homework due date is pushed back one week.

Haven’t had that feeling since high school. As awesome as it felt back then.

SFIV is going to ruin me

Man oh man. Playing this really brings me back to middle school. I love it. I miss being able to play my brother and friends hours upon hours of SF, but playing online vs random strangers is a workable substitute. Even if 90% of them pick Ken because Ken was my brother’s favorite too.

But SFIV is pure crack to a old 2D fighting nut like me. I’m already late on one of my homework assignments for class and I’ve been completely unmotivated to work because I got SFIV on the brain. I’m somewhat hoping my 360 gets the red ring of death because I don’t know if I can muster up the willpower to tear myself away from the game. =P

Kindle want!

Kindle 2 looks pretty damn sweet.  This could just be a temporary passing fancy (like I have with so many gadgets out there), but I really could see myself with one of these at some point.  I can already imagine waking up and having it automatically updated with the newspaper subscription or reading it on the bus to work.

Only things holding me back is that (1) the selection of books seems ok not great and (2) I wish it supported international languages like Chinese.  Well, also that $359 is pretty pricey any way you cut it.
